Sparking imaginative learning through STREAM opportunities
A Summer of STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics) was launched in 2022 to assist in alleviating the summer learning loss among middle school students in Southeastern Indiana. As a way to help students increase academic achievement and apply curious minds and critical-thinking skills to real-world opportunities, Genesis: Pathways to Success developed A Summer of STREAM to encapsulate and spark imaginative learning through STREAM-focused summer camps and activities.
A Summer of STREAM camps and activities are made available to ALL middle school (5th - 8th grade) students in Southeastern Indiana. Our STREAM-focused hands-on learning opportunities are designed to lay the foundation for a successful career pathway by giving students the opportunity to further develop the soft skills sought by employers. Soft skills, such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership, are incorporated into A Summer of STREAM camp exercises to build potential in our future workforce.
Through initiatives like A Summer of STREAM, Genesis has created a STREAM Ecosystem that is innovative, challenging, and fun for students!

2023 A Summer of STREAM Recap
The summer of 2023 entailed 19 co-curricular and fun-filled STREAM camps and activities that appealed to various interests and passions of students. A Summer of STREAM provided experiential learning opportunities that impacted 1050 attendees and created a STREAM Ecosystem that is innovative, challenging, and fun for students! During each camp, students were introduced to STREAM principles that built upon their soft skills, such as problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
