Making “Spoke-tacular” Memories with Kids Building Bikes

On Saturday, September 16th, our Kids Building Bikes Camp participants geared up for a “wheely” fun Alumni Ride! We had 13 past camp participants, parents, and community members join us to explore Milan on two wheels. The ride kicked off at Daren Baker Memorial Park and traveled around the town with a stop at the Milan ’54 Championship Water Tower.

This was a great day for kids to meet new camp participants, reconnect with their coaches from Kids Building Bikes Camps, and enjoy riding the bike that they built! Students built these bikes during a three-day crash course on all things bicycles during A Summer of STREAM. During this unique, hands-on learning experience, students became engineers to assemble a brand-new bike and learn how to care for it so they can enjoy bike rides such as this!

Genesis: Pathways to Success would like to thank Nine13sports for another great summer and for all of the programs that they help to implement in Southeastern Indiana. We can’t wait for Kids Building Bikes Camp to return in the spring of 2024!
